Hawaii is the perfect place for anyone interested in water sports and anyone interested in scuba diving. You could not ask for a more pleasant experience with warm water and beautiful coral reefs. There are tons of options as you have eight different islands to scuba dive around, with different experiences waiting for you. For any traveler’s convenience, dive shops are often situated near hotels, allowing you to rent any needed equipment. The various marine life, coral, and lava formations makes Hawaii a prime diving destination.

The best part about Hawaii’s waters is the range it offers for all skill levels. There are a number of different kinds of habitats, including coral reefs, caves, small caverns, and more. Keep in mind that during high tide, diving is restricted for safety reasons. During the summer, the water is much calmer making Kauai and Niihau perfect diving destinations. On the souther shores are the Oasis reef and the Sheraton Caverns are great spots to visit for adventurous scuba divers. Those looking for a challenge should head to Niihau’s northern shore, where they can swim with dolphins and seals. On Hawaii, the Kohala and Kona coastlines are great locations, such as Place of Refuge and Cavern point, that offer challenges that suit beginners and advanced scuba divers with depths of 10-130 feet.

Scuba diving can be dangerous, so it is important to have trained professionals available to ensure the necessary precautions are taken. For those who are new to scuba diving, there are tons of tips available from professionals, the internet, and many training programs available on the islands.
